Hawassa Traffic Safety Pilot Project

This project involved the construction of road safety infrastructure on a selected section of roads in Hawassa. The project includes road markings, preparation of traffic signs and installation of traffic safety devices, marking proper bus lanes, taxi bays, loading and unloading zones, and street parking.

It also included training for the police and local enforcement officers, developing modern street names, and the city's street directory for tourists, and conducting an awareness program on TV.

At the end of the project, formal training was conducted to transfer knowledge on safety technologies and practices.
